ARES Fitness
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
This policy describes the information used by ARES Fitness when you create an account or use its optional training, nutrition, progress, social and AI features. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to aresfitnesssupport@gmail.com.
1. Account and profile information
Account creation uses your email, name and authentication information. Email/password sign-in is supported; choosing Google or Apple sign-in involves the selected identity provider and the app’s authentication service. ARES uses the resulting account identity to associate your records with your account.
Information you enter may include a username, profile photo, biography, age, height, weight, goals, experience, equipment, training availability, exercise styles, dietary preferences and physical limitations. Settings and feature preferences are also saved. Enter only information you want the app to process.
2. Training, nutrition and progress
ARES stores workouts, exercises, sets, session history, timer sessions, food logs, serving quantities, nutrition snapshots, saved meals, nutrition targets and body-weight records when you use those features. These records support your logs, summaries, goal progress and optional personalized guidance.
Food search sends search terms and food identifiers to USDA FoodData Central through the app’s server. Logged foods retain a nutrition snapshot so changes in external food data do not automatically rewrite your past logs.
3. Social information and visibility
Social features use profiles, posts, workout/PR/meal content you choose to share, likes, saved posts, follows, follow requests and reports. A private profile is not an anonymous account: your username, display name, avatar and privacy status remain discoverable to signed-in people. Private-profile content uses visibility and accepted-follow rules.
Sharing fitness or food content can disclose information from that content to its audience. Avoid including private details in posts or profile identity fields. Approved photos associated with visible profiles or posts may be shown to viewers of that content.
Where media uploads are available, images or selected video frames can be processed by AI moderation before publication. Held media and reported content can be reviewed by authorized moderators. Moderation status, reports and review actions are recorded to support safety and abuse handling.
4. Optional AI processing
AI Coach sends your messages, conversation context and an account-derived summary of relevant profile information, targets, recent nutrition, workouts and weight records through the Lovable AI Gateway. Coach conversations are stored in the app. The workout generator also sends profile and training context; food scanning sends the submitted image and optional description for nutrition estimates.
The current integrations request OpenAI models for Coach and Google Gemini models for workout generation, food scanning and media moderation through the gateway. This processing shares the submitted content with the AI processing services involved; it is not limited to storage inside ARES. Do not submit information you do not want processed for that purpose.
AI is optional. Clearing the Coach conversation is not the same as deleting all stored messages: the current clear operation removes assistant messages and older messages, while recent user messages may remain as usage records. Contact support for a broader privacy or deletion request.
5. Service providers and purchases
Lovable hosts the app and provides Lovable Cloud for database, authentication, storage and server operations. Other integrations include the Lovable AI Gateway and its requested model services, USDA FoodData Central, Google or Apple when you choose their sign-in options, and Apple/RevenueCat for the native subscription integration.
When Apple purchasing is configured and used, subscription processing associates the ARES account ID with RevenueCat and records product, entitlement, purchase/expiration, verification and subscription-status information. Apple handles App Store billing. Integration code does not mean purchases are currently available; see Subscription & Billing Terms.
6. Technical information and local storage
The app uses browser or device storage for sign-in sessions and preferences. It includes error-reporting hooks that can send errors, the current page and diagnostic context to Lovable reporting tools when those tools are present. Hosting and connected services also process technical information to deliver requests and operate their services.
The web app loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which involves requests from your browser to Google’s font services. Those requests carry the technical information needed to deliver the fonts.
This policy does not promise that infrastructure or AI service logs are absent, that providers retain no data, or that submitted content is excluded from every provider’s training or logging. Contact support with questions about a particular processing service.
7. Retention and account deletion
Saved records remain available unless removed through an available deletion control. Settings → Account & security → Delete my account & data requires ownership verification and explicit final confirmation. Confirming closes account access and starts server-side removal of your live account records, uploaded files and ARES sign-in identity. The deletion screen confirms success only after that cleanup finishes; interrupted cleanup can remain in progress while it retries.
Live cleanup includes profile and social information, owned workouts and exercise records, training and timer history, nutrition logs and saved meals, weigh-ins, Coach messages, related app records and uploaded files. A minimal account-ID deletion/status record remains to prevent replay and late recreation. Existing backups, infrastructure diagnostics, provider-held copies and content copied by others are not erased by live cleanup. No universal retention period or provider-deletion deadline is promised. Contact aresfitnesssupport@gmail.com for access, correction or broader privacy requests.
Deleting an ARES account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an App Store subscription. Manage cancellation separately through Apple. Apple/Google accounts are not deleted. Managed Apple authorization may also need removal in your Apple Account’s Sign in with Apple settings. Subscription expiration does not automatically delete saved fitness records.
8. Choices, access controls and contact
You can edit profile information, adjust profile visibility, choose which optional features to use and remove records where a delete action is offered. Settings’ data download currently includes account email, profile preferences and settings; it is not a complete export of every workout, nutrition, social or Coach record. Request other account-linked data through support.
The app uses authenticated access and account/visibility checks for personal records and controlled operations. No service can guarantee that every security risk is eliminated. For privacy questions or requests, email aresfitnesssupport@gmail.com. Do not include passwords, payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive information in your message.
